  • The Neighborhood Table is again partnering with South Wood Emerging Pantry Shelf and Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin to bring another Mobile Food Pantry to Wisconsin Rapids. This mobile food pantry is supported by grant funds through Incourage Community Foundation and WE Energies Foundation.  The next date is Wednesday, August 28th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and will again be held in the south parking lot of the United Methodist Church – rain or shine!

    To address concerns raised by neighbors in the area of the United Methodist Church, we are again requiring advanced registration for particular time slots so participants show up only during their time slot and leave, all within a few minutes, thereby minimizing any traffic buildup. Those who preregister, will be guaranteed a food pickup. Those who show up without being preregistered will be asked to return after 4:oo pm to pick up food if it is still available.

    Because of the construction that is in process on East Grand Avenue until this fall, we suggest the following route to get in line for the mobile food pantry at the United Methodist Church:

    • From Lincoln Street, take Birch Street west, go one block. Turn left onto Garfield Street and then left again onto Maple Street.
    • When exiting the pantry, turn left on Garfield Street, left on Witter Street and bear left again on Witter Street to get back to Lincoln Street.

    Participants need to be residents of the south Wood County area and show proof of residency by showing a current driver’s license or utility bill. They must also qualify to use or currently use any food assistance program such as SNAP/Food Share/Quest, free and reduced meals, WIC, etc.  South Wood County for purposes of our mobile food pantries is defined as residential addresses that are south of County Trunk C in Wood County. Only one food pickup per household address will be allowed.

    Please fill out the form below and select a time slot that is best for you. You will receive a confirmation via email. This is your “ticket” and proof of preregistration that you will need to show when coming to pick up your food. Do not come early – only arrive at your approved time. Please be sure to check your junk or spam mail in case the confirmation email does not come directly to your normal inbox. It would also be helpful if you could add information@theneighborhoodtable.org to your email white list.

    Please note:  The pantry has filled up so the registration form as been taken down.  This will be the last mobile food pantry brought to you by our partnering groups this year.
