About Us

The Neighborhood Table is a volunteer community meal/soup kitchen program offering a free meal to anyone who is in need.

Here are the highlights of how we have progressed:

  • We began with a kick-off dinner on December 31, 2003, that served about 55 people.
  • In 2004, we began to serve meals on the last two Thursdays of each month.
  • In January 2005, we expanded to include the last three Thursdays of each month.
  • On September 7, 2006, we started serving meals every Thursday.
  • Our most recent expansion began on October 26, 2010, to include serving a meal on the last Tuesday of each month.

Meals are served from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Carry-out are available only on Thursdays by calling (715) 422-1980.

The Neighborhood Table is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a 12 member board of directors.
