Our Mission

Our mission at is to reduce hunger in our community, improve quality of life for our residents and create an awareness of needs that exist in our community.

Highlights from The Neighborhood Table:

  • The Neighborhood Table merged with the South Wood Emerging Pantry Shelf and Rapids Family Backpacks in February of 2020 to form FOCUS – Feeding Our Communities with United Services.
  • This site is being phased out as we create our new pages within the FOCUS Web site.
  • More than 115 community groups have sponsored a meal with us each year.
  • More than 1,500 volunteers help us during the year (about 20 – 25 at each meal).
  • Meals are served every Thursday until further notice.
  • More than 250,000 meals have been served since our first meal in December 2003.

The Neighborhood Table is a nonprofit, charitable organization mostly staffed by volunteers who provide free meals to anyone in need. Meals are served from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 441 Garfield Street, Wisconsin Rapids.  Take-out meals are available Thursdays only, by calling (715) 422-1980.  Note:  During the Covid-19 pandemic, no meals will be served in-house. Only to-go meals are being offered until further notice.

We share not only a meal, but also an atmosphere of hospitality and mutual respect.

The Neighborhood Table serves the communities of Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, and surrounding areas in central Wisconsin.
