Our Mission

Our mission at The Neighborhood Table is to reduce hunger in our community, improve quality of life for our residents and create an awareness of needs that exist in our community.

Highlights from The Neighborhood Table:

  • More than 100 community groups have sponsored a meal with us each year.
  • More than 1,500 volunteers help us during the year (about 20 – 25 at each meal).
  • About 375 meals are served every Thursday and about 170 meals are served each Tuesday (the last two of the month).
  • More than 195,000 meals have been served since our first meal in December 2003.
  • 10th Anniversary on December 31, 2013

The Neighborhood Table is a nonprofit, charitable organization staffed by volunteers who provide free meals to anyone in need. We serve every Thursday and the last two Tuesdays of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 320 Oak Street, in Wisconsin Rapids. Carry-outs are available Thursdays only, by calling (715) 422-1980.

We share not only a meal, but also an atmosphere of hospitality and mutual respect.

The Neighborhood Table services the communities of Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, and surrounding areas in central Wisconsin.
